This panel features artists Nova Scotia the Truth, Dave Hook (Solareye), 2019 SAMA winner STEG G, aka, Steven Gilfoyle and Jody Justice. Renowned Hip-Hop promoter Alana Hepburn keeps score!

Punk left Scotland as The Clash roared off the stage of the Edinburgh Playhouse on 7 May 1977. Enter Orange Juice and the arrival of Scotland’s post-punk music scene. This feature-length documentary, by Grant McPhee, tells the fascinating story of Glasgow’s Postcard Records, and Edinburgh counterpart Fast Product.

This year’s photo exhibition is an outdoor, open space trail featuring images from Chris Brickley’s photo journal ‘16 Years - Gigs in Scotland 1974-1990’. Capturing a significant period in Scotland’s musical history, the book is arranged by town and venue across Scotland, revisiting a huge number of lost venues. See works from the book throughout a trail of closed music venues across Dumfries town centre.

Taking over the DMC Instagram is the gentle torrent of talent know as Ra. Hailing from Dumfries but now based in Edinburgh, Ra’s smooth vocals, lyrical prowess, surprising covers and ability to switch between guitar and ukulele have established her solo acoustic sets a consistent delight.
