MENTOR BIO
Phoebe Inglis-Holmes is a broadcaster, writer, DJ, & record label coadjutor. Phoebe's no-stone-unturned attitude to new music has led her to host & produce shows on BBC Radio 6 music; BBC Radio 1; the BBC Scotland TV channel, & beyond; and is the current host of BBC Introducing on BBC Radio Scotland, every Friday night.
Previously working in music media as a journalist & PR, Phoebe has toured extensively across the UK & international circuits both as a DJ & club-night manager in her own right; and to assist on-road with various bands & production collectives.

WHAT IS THE PRESENTING & PROGRAMMING FOR RADIO MENTORSHIP?
This mentorship is a minimum of 12 hours of one-to-one time with Phoebe Inglis-Holmes - during this time you will work together with Phoebe to shape a programme that suits you.
Phoebe will be looking at providing the opportunity to learn and experience:
How to present on the air
How to programme for radio
How to access career pathways
The skills to curate a radio show from scratch
What radio is all about and who is involved (specific roles of a researcher, producer and presenter)
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
If you are aged between 16-25, have a connection to Dumfries & Galloway and have an interest in a career in Radio, then we would love to hear from you. This year, we are welcoming submissions in any format - video, audio message, letter - it’s up to you!
MENTORSHIP DETAILS
This mentorship will commence June/July 2022 and complete in July/August 2022

WHAT IS DMC FUTURES?
DMC is passionate about redressing the imbalance of young people having to move away from the region in search of career opportunities within the music industries and, in turn, seeks to support a stronger pool of talent within the region and cultivate a creative scene that can rival locations across the UK.
DMC Futures is a mentorship programme for young people across Dumfries & Galloway. It is a vital stepping stone for those wishing to broaden their skills, make connections, and learn first-hand how the industry functions.
