WHAT IS DMC FUTURES?

DMC is passionate about redressing the imbalance of young people having to move away from the region in search of career opportunities within the music industries and, in turn, seeks to support a stronger pool of talent within the region and cultivate a creative scene that can rival locations across the UK.

DMC Futures is a mentorship programme for young people across Dumfries & Galloway. It is a vital stepping stone for those wishing to broaden their skills, make connections, and learn first-hand how the industry functions.

Our previous mentorships have included Music Production, Music Journalism, Songwriting, Marketing & Communications with some of the region most influential industry professionals.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

The DMC Futures Programme has been designed to offer mentees a minimum of 12 hours of one-to-one personal development time with your mentor. This will span a period of eight weeks and during this time you will work with your mentor to shape a programme that works for you.

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?

If you are aged between 16-25, based in Dumfries & Galloway and have an interest in Music for Film as a personal/professional development, then we welcome you to apply. This year, we are opening applications to be submitted in any format - whether that is video, audio message, letter or something else! All you have to do is fill out the information in the application below, and tell us, in any way you like, why you’d like to get involved, and how you’d benefit from one of our mentorships.
