DMC’s aim is to celebrate, support and grow the music industry of Dumfries and Galloway and inspire and educate individuals and audiences to participate and collaborate in this work to benefit the local economy and cultural impact of the town of Dumfries and those that live within Dumfries and Galloway.

WHY JOIN?
As a member of our Advisory Committee, you’ll:
Shape DMC’s strategy and contribute to our goals.
Support emerging musicians and creatives in rural areas.
Help deliver impactful events and initiatives.
Advocate for the cultural and economic growth of Dumfries & Galloway.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We welcome applications from a diverse group of individuals, particularly those aged 14–25 or with experience in Scotland’s music and creative industries. Whether you’re a local advocate, a creative professional, or simply passionate about supporting culture, we’d love to hear from you.
Commitment:
Two half-day meetings per year.
Input on DMC’s business plan, programme ideas, and annual reviews.
Advocate for community needs and perspectives.
While this is an unpaid role, DMC offers financial support for travel and related expenses.
