Platform is a skills development project, which employs and supports emerging creative practitioners from Dumfries & Galloway, helping them to establish exemplary, varied and valuable experience within the music industries and, in turn, equip them for a career within the music industries.

Over the project’s 16-month duration, Platform participants will conceive, curate and deliver music-related events and initiatives in line with DMC’s organisational outputs. Platform’s participants (with the support from DMC’s management team) will develop a specific, individual growth and experience path enabling them to form a strong, industry relevant portfolio across multiple areas. Platform will support individuals looking to make a start in areas outside of music performance, such as music management, event production/curation, music journalism, digital media production, filmmaking and marketing.
