ABOUT: JENNA MACRORY
Despite her background in traditional music, Dumfries born musician Jenna Macrory blends rude beats with traditional melodies to create her unique sound. Focussed on bringing Scottish music to a new generation, Jenna uses contemporary studio practices to achieve this. Utilising field recordings and other sampling methods allows her to carve her unique genre subverting tone.
An accomplished guitarist, Jenna has played in a number of lineups regularly accompanying Scotland’s most promising folk talent and can be heard providing the rhythm in traditional trio, “Reidhle.”
