Dumfries Music Conference returns for it's sixth year over the weekend of 18th - 20th October!

On Thursday night, DMC 2018 will kick off the celebrations with a screening of ‘Goodnight Brooklyn – The Story of Death by Audio’ at the Robert Burns Centre. This documentary chronicles the origins and demise of one of Brooklyn’s best DIY venues; a big theme for DMC this year.

The screening starts at 7.30pm and tickets are available for £4 from here:

Then we move onwards to The Stove for refreshments and the public opening of a special exhibition of work by photographer Harry Papadopoulous – a self-taught photographer from Glasgow who worked for the New Musical Express and Sounds at the height of the new wave explosion. Harry’s photographs covered every major band from 1979-1984 including David Bowie, Blondie, Joy Division and The Clash. The exhibition will be available to view in The Stove until Saturday 27th October.

All welcome to celebrate the sixth Dumfries Music Conference!
